Notice of Special Meeting was given on May 24, 2023, in compliance with <br /> Government Code Section 54956(a). <br /> CITY COUNCIL ROLL CALL <br /> Councilmembers present were MPT Toro, Chastain, Gonzalez, Echevarria, and Mayor Navarro. <br /> STAFF PRESENT <br /> City Manager Smith and Deputy City Clerk Vargas <br /> MAYOR AND COUNCIL ITEMS <br /> POSSIBLE CONFLICT OF INTEREST DISCLOSURES FOR THE COUNCIL MEETING OF <br /> May 24, 2023. <br /> GIFT DISCLOSURES <br /> Mayor Navarro asked the members present if there were any agenda items that were a conflict of <br /> interest pursuant to CMC Section 2.04.030. None disclosed. <br /> AB 1234 ORAL REPORTS <br /> Mayor Navarro asked the members present if there were any brief reports on meetings attended <br /> at the expense of the City. (GC Section 53232.3(d). <br /> MPT Toro & CM Gonzalez attended on behalf of the City of Colton City Council the Annual <br /> ICSC 2023 Las Vegas Conference, held May 21-23, 2023 at Las Vegas, Nevada convention <br /> center. <br /> CM Chastain & CM Echevarria attended the City County 2023 Conference; held May 18-19, <br /> 2023,held at the Lake Arrowhead Resort and Spa, Lake Arrowhead, CA. <br /> PUBLIC COMMENT <br /> None <br /> DISCUSSION ITEMS <br /> 1. Fiscal Year 2023-24 Budget Workshop#2 <br /> City Manager Smith announced that the item for discussion is the second of two scheduled <br /> budget workshops for the fiscal year 2023-2024. CM Smith explained that this presentation will <br /> begin with follow up regarding items discussed during Budget Workshop #1 held on May 15, <br /> 2023, and then after discussion regarding the general fund is completed, we will go over the <br /> remaining City funds. City Manager Smith requested that Councilmembers wait until the full <br /> presentation is completed to ask questions. <br /> 1 <br />
