ITEM NO. 04 <br />STAFF REPORT <br />DATE: DECEMBER 21, 2010 <br />TO: HONORABLE MAYOR AND Y O <br />FROM: ROD FOSTER, CITY MANAGER <br />PREPARED BY: VIJAY SINHA; PUBLIC WORKS AND UTILITY SERVICES <br />DIRECTOR ,11.111 " <br />SUBJECT: APPROVAL OF AMENDMENT TO PROFESSIONAL SERVICES <br />AGREEMENT WITH ENGINEERING RESOURCES OF SOUTHERN <br />CALIFORNIA INC., TO EXTEND THE TERM OF THE AGREEMENT <br />FOR PROJECT DEVELOPMENT AND DESIGN SERVICES. <br />RECOMMENDED ACTION <br />It is recommended that the City Council approve an Amendment to the existing Professional <br />Services Agreement with Engineering Resources of Southern California Inc. for completion of <br />the project development and design of Phases I -III of the 3-5 Comprehensive Storm Drain <br />Project, Project 3-5 Comprehensive Storm Drain Project Interim Condition Design and City of <br />Colton Master Drainage Plan and Meridian Avenue Storm Drain. <br />GOAL STATEMENT <br />The proposed action will support the City's goal to improve the City's infrastructure. <br />BACKGROUND <br />On March 16, 2004, the City awarded a professional service agreement to Engineering <br />Resources for the project development and design of Phases I -III of the 3-5 Comprehensive <br />Storm Drain Project. The City has since amended the professional services agreement with <br />Engineering Resources to incorporate additional phases, studies, and changes to current <br />conditions for a total compensation amount not to exceed $728,127. <br />ISSUES/ANALYSIS <br />Under the current agreement for Engineering Resources, there are three listed projects; 1) <br />Comprehensive Storm Drain Project 3-5 Ultimate Condition Design, 2) Comprehensive Storm <br />Drain Project 3-5 Interim Condition Design and 3) Master Drainage Plan Update Meridian <br />Avenue Storm Drain. <br />
