CITY OF COLTON <br />1^ AGENDA REPORT <br />FOR COUNCIL MEETING OF NOVEMBER 5,1996 <br />TO: HONORABLE MAYOR & CITY COUNCIL <br />APPROVAL: MALIK DANTALA FREEMAN, INTERIM CITY MANAGER <br />FROM: GRACIE FERNANDEZ HARMON, PERSONNEL DIRECTORp' I W <br />SUBJECT: RATIFICATION OF EPLOYEE APPOINTMENT TO THE <br />MFULL-TIME <br />POSITIONS (4) OF POWER LINE TECHNICIAN IN THE ELECTRIC <br />DEPARTMENT <br />DATE: OCTOBER 21, 1996 <br />BACKGROUND: There are four (4) vacant Power Line Technician positions in the Electric <br />Department. Attached is the job description for the classification; the salary range is $3,284 - $3,991 <br />per month. <br />DISCUSSION/ANALYSIS: Recruitment for said position was conducted. A written examination <br />was held and an eligibility list established. The candidates being referred for Council ratification <br />meet the education and experience requirements as specified in the job description. <br />FINANCIAL EVIPACT: These are enterprise fund positions and are funded for the 1996-97 fiscal <br />year as follows: Account No. 520-8000-8004-1010 (salary) and Account No. 520-8000-8004-1100 <br />(salary related benefits). <br />Thomas K.
