CITY OF COLTON <br />AGENDA REPORT <br />FOR COUNCIL MEETING OF FEBRUARY 18,1997 <br />TO: HONORABLE MAYOR & CITY COUNCIL <br />APPROVAL: MALIK DANTALA FREEMAN, CITY MANAGER <br />FROM: GRACIE FERNANDEZ HARMON, PERSONNEL DIRECTOR3W <br />SUBJECT: RATIFICATION OF EMPLOYEE APPOINTMENT TO THE FULL-TIME <br />POSITION OF SUPERVISING BUILDING INSPECTOR IN THE <br />COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT DEPARTMENT <br />DATE: FEBRUARY 10, 1997 <br />BACKGROUND: There is one (1) Supervising Building Inspector position vacant in the <br />Community Development Department. Attached is the job description for the classification, salary <br />range is $3,047 - $3,690 per month. <br />DISCUSSION/ANALYSIS: An in-house, promotional recruitment for said position was conducted <br />and an eligibility list was established. The candidate being referred for Council ratification meets the <br />education and experience requirements as specified in the job description. <br />FINANCIAL IMPACT: This is a general fund position and is funded for the 1996-97 fiscal year as <br />follows: Account No. 100-6300-6302-1010 (salary) and Account No. 100-6300-6302-1100 (salary <br />related benefits). <br />David R.
