CITY OF COLTON <br />AGENDA REPORT <br />FOR COUNCIL MEETING OF MARCH 18,1997 <br />TO: HONORABLE MAYOR & CITY COUNCIL <br />APPROVAL: MALIK DANTALA FREEMAN, CITY MANAGE ,fit' <br />FROM: GRACIE FERNANDEZ HARMON, PERSONNEL DIRECTOR <br />SUBJECT: RATIFICATION OF EMPLOYEE APPOINTMENT TO THE FULL- <br />TIME POSITION OF FIRE ENGINEER IN THE FIRE DEPARTMENT <br />' DATE: MARCH 10, 1997 <br />BACKGROUND: There is one (1) Fire Engineer position vacant in the Fire Department. <br />Attached is the job description for the classification; salary range is $2,708 - $3,293 per month. <br />DISCUSSION/ANALYSIS: An in-house, promotional recruitment for said position was <br />conducted and an eligibility list was established. The candidate being referred for Council <br />ratification meets the education and experience requirements as specified in the job description. <br />FINANCIAL IMPACT: None. <br />FUNDING AVAILABILITY: This is an approved general fund position in the fiscal year <br />1996-97 budget funded as follows: Account No. 100-6090-6091-1010 (salary) and Account No. <br />100-6090-6091-1100 (salary related benefits). <br />Thomas T.
