CITY OF COLTON <br />AGENDA REPORT <br />FOR COUNCIL MEETING OF AUGUST 18, 1998 <br />TO: Honorable Mayor & City Cogneill <br />APPROVAL: Henry Garcia, City Manager <br />FROM: Dennis Morris, Human Resource Director <br />SUBJECT: Claims Against the City Submitted by: West San Bernardino Water <br />District, Betty and Richard Arce, Joe Moreno and Alice Anaya, John <br />Villagrana, Augustine Duenez, Edgar Camacho, and Steven Arrietta. <br />Recommend Denial <br />DATE: August 5, 1998 <br />BACKGROUND: <br />In accordance with the procedures adopted to insure proper and efficient handling of Liability <br />Claims against the City of Colton, the attached report has been received from the City's Liability <br />Claims Administrator. <br />DISCUSSIONANALYSIS: <br />Claimants have filed a claim against the City. Evaluation of these claims reflect that these cases <br />would be highly questionable or no liability on the part of the City of Colton. <br />FINANCIAL IMPACT: <br />Not applicable. <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />Staff recommends that the above -listed claims be denied to commence the Statute of Limitations. <br />DM:vlp <br />It= # 7 <br />
