National Conference, San Antonio, Texas <br />CITY COUNCIL MEETING OF MAY 59 1998 <br />This is a formal request seeking the Council's consideration and approval of my attending the <br />1998 American Public Power Association National Conference. This conference will take place <br />in San Antonio, Texas, on June 15-17, 1998 (supporting documentation is attached). <br />Travel expenses are as follows: <br />• Lodging for 3 nights (6/15/98 — 6/18/98) $ 484.71 ($139+ $1.50 x 15% = 161.57 x 3) <br />• Airfare 435.75 ($360.75 + $75.00 for changes) <br />• Conference Registration 475.00 ($500 if paid after May 15th) <br />• Travel Per Diem (4 days @ $40) 160.00 <br />Total Travel Expenses: $1,555.46 <br />Note: These amounts do not include Pre -Conference Seminars and Registration fees. <br />FINANCIAL IMPACT: <br />City Council Travel & Meeting Account # 100-6000-6000-2280 is currently over budget. Upon <br />the Council's recommendation and approval, it would be necessary to do a budget adjustment to <br />accommodate for travel expenditures through June 30, 1998.
