CITY OF COLTON <br />AGENDA REPORT <br />For City Council Meeting of August 3, 199 <br />TO: Honorable Mayor & City Council <br />APPROVAL: Henry Garcia, City Manager/, <br />FROM: Dennis Morris, Human Resource Director <br />Alan Denfeld, Recreation Services Manager <br />SUBJECT: Request For Recruitment and Ratification Of Employee Appointment To The Full -Time <br />Position Of Maintenance Worker III in the Neighborhood Services Division of the Human <br />Resource Department for Fiscal Year 99/00. <br />DATE: July 20, 1999 <br />BACKGROUND: 'Mere is currently one vacant Maintenance Worker III Position in the Parks Division of the <br />Neighborhood Services Division, which was created by the promotion of an employee to the newly created Parks <br />Crew Leader Position. <br />DISCUSSION/ANALYSIS: Recruitment for said position will be conducted as "Closed Promotional" and an <br />eligibility list established. The candidate chosen will meet the education and experience requirements as specified in <br />the job description. <br />FINANCIAL IMPACT: Funding availability for this position, in the fiscal year 1999-00 budget is as follows: <br />Account No. 100-6200-6205- 1010 (salary) and Account No. 100-6200-6205-1100 (salary related benefits). <br />CUSTOMER SERVICE IMPACT: This position is required in order to effectively provide the continued level of <br />parks maintenance as required by the citizens of Colton. <br />EXPECTED FILL DATE: August 15, 1999 <br />RECOMMENDATION: That City Council approves the "closed promotional" recruitment and ratification of <br />the employee appointment to the full-time position of Maintenance Worker III as recommended by the Human <br />Resource Director. <br />PREPARED BY: Alan Denfeld <br />Attachment:: Job Description <br />Item #9 <br />Agenda Rpt MMWIII Parks Division 8-3-99 <br />
