HUTTON, PUBLIC WORKS DIRECTOR <br />SUBJECT: REQUEST FOR AN IN-HOUSE RECRUITMENT //AND RATIFICATION OF <br />EMPLOYEE APPOINTMENT IN THE FULL-TIME POSITION OF EQUIPMENT <br />MAINTENANCE MANAGER <br />DATE: MARCH 29, 2000 <br />BACKGROUND: There is one (1) Equipment Maintenance Manager position that is currently <br />vacant. Attached is the job description for the classification. The salary range is $3,448 to $3,801 <br />per month. <br />DISCUSSION/ANALYSIS: This position became vacant due to a retirement. The candidate being <br />referred for Council ratification meets all the requirements as specified in the job description. <br />FINANCIAL IMPACT: This is an approved general fund position in the fiscal year 1999-2000 <br />budget; funded as follows: Account No. 605-8700-8700-1010 (salaries—miscellaneous) and <br />Account No. 605-8700-8700-1100 (Salary related benefits). <br />c <br />i <br />Joh C.
