Item #4F ORDINANCE NO. 0-16-03 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLTON APPROVING AND ADOPTING THE REDEVELOPMENT PLAN FOR THE LA CADENA CORRIDOR REDEVELOPMENT PROJECT AREA WHEREAS, the Redevelopment Agency for the City of Colton (the "Agency") was activated by the City Council of the City of Colton (the "City Council') pursuant to the Community Redevelopment Law (Health and Safety Code Section 33000 et seq.) (hereinafter the "CRL"); and WHEREAS, the function of the Agency is to formulate and implement programs for the prevention and elimination of the spread of blight and to foster economic development of blighted areas and within the City of Colton (the "City"); and WHEREAS, the Agency has studied the desirability and feasibility of implementing a redevelopment plan which is referred to as the La Cadena Corridor Redevelopment Project and which consists of four (4) non-contiguous subareas, some of which abut one or more previously established redevelopment project areas in the City; and WHEREAS, the proposed redevelopment project area (the "Project Area") described in the Redevelopment Plan for the La Cadena Corridor Redevelopment Project (the "Redevelopment Plan") includes approximately 1,756 acres of land and is comprised of a mix of previously developed urban land uses and vacant properties; and WHEREAS, a boundary map which depicts the Project Area is attached to this Ordinance as Exhibit "A" and is incorporated herein by this reference; and WHEREAS, a legal description of the boundaries of the Project Area is attached to this Ordinance as Exhibit `B" and is incorporated herein by this reference; and 4811-9251-8656.1 1
