CITY OF COLTON <br />AGENDA REPORT <br />FOR COUNCIL MEETING OF July 15, 2003 REVISED <br />TO: HONORABLE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL <br />APPROVAL: DARYL PARRISH, CITY MANAGER <br />FROM: AMER JAKHER, CITY ENGINEER <br />SUBJECT: Request for the Recruitment and Ratification of employee <br />appointment to the full-time position of Maintenance Worker I, <br />in the Public Services Department, Street Division. <br />DATE: July 7, 2003 <br />BACKGROUND: <br />There is one (1) Maintenance Worker I position that became vacant on June 5, 2003 due to the <br />incumbent's retirement. This position is assigned to our graffiti abatement crew. The salary range is <br />$2,482 to $3,018 per month. <br />ANALYSIS /DISCUSSION <br />This position became vacant due to the retirement of our Graffiti Abatement Technician. The candidate <br />being referred for Council ratification meets all requirements as specified in the job description. The <br />Fiscal Management Committee approved this position on April 8, 2003. <br />ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT: None <br />FISCAL IMPACT: <br />This is an approved general fund position in the fiscal year 2003/2004 budget. This position is funded as <br />follows: Account No. 100-6150-6160-1010 (Salaries -Miscellaneous) and Account No. 100-6150-6160- <br />1100 (Salary Related Benefits). <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />Staff recommends that the City Council ratify the employee appointment to the full-time position of <br />Maintenance Worker I in the Public Services Department, Street Division. <br />PSAgendaReport071503 <br />
