Cassel, Redevelopment Director <br />SUBJECT: Consideration and Approval of Program Guidelines and Supporting <br />Documentation for the Rancho Mill Home Beautification Grant <br />Program. <br />DATE: August 17, 2005 <br />BACKGROUND <br />The Agency Board adopted Resolution No. 822 and Resolution No. 826 on April 6, 2004 which <br />prioritized use of $500,000 in improvements within the Rancho/Mill Project Area. Included in the <br />improvements is a Rancho Mill 2 -to -1 Matching Home Beautification Grant in the amount of <br />$50,000. The Ad Hoc Committee that was established to oversee the grant program met on <br />September 23, 2004 and recommended to limit applications for the first sixty days to low and very <br />low income property owners. After sixty days, application for unreserved funds will be opera to <br />low to moderate income property owners. Applicants must reside in the Rancho/Mill Project <br />Area. <br />DISCUSSION/ANALYSIS <br />Guidelines recommended by the Ad Hoc Committee have been drafted pursuant to their <br />recommendations.
