ADJOURNED CITY COUNCIL MEETING <br />May 16, 1991 <br />In accordance with notice duly and legally given, an Adjourned Regular <br />Meeting of the City Council of the City of Colton was held on the above <br />given date, at 2:00 p.m., in the Council Chambers of City Hall, Mayor <br />Gonzales presiding. <br />RnT,T, CAT.T. <br />Council Members present were Roman, Cisneros, Rehrer, Lofy, and <br />Mayor Gonzales. Also present were City Manager Sotelo, City Attorney <br />Edwards and City Clerk Ramos. <br />CLOSED SESSION: <br />The City Council adjourned to Closed Session at 2:10 p.m., on <br />matters relating to Personnel pursuant to Government Code Section <br />54957. The Council reconvened at 2:17 p.m., all members present. <br />City Manager Sotelo stated he would like to present an item for <br />Council consideration that arose subsequent to the posting of the <br />Agenda. <br />Moved by Council Member Roman, seconded by Council Member Lofy, <br />to allow consideration of the off Agenda item requested by City <br />Manager Sotelo. Unanimous vote. <br />City Manager Sotelo reported he is requesting the Council adopt a <br />resolution approving the Job Classification List and Payroll Rate <br />Schedule as it pertains to the Police Department. City Manager <br />Sotelo stated the resolution reflects the results of the police <br />salary survey. <br />City Manager read, in full, his Agenda Report dated May 16, 1991, <br />Adoption of Job Classification List and Payroll Rate Schedules for <br />Colton Employees. <br />The Agenda Report and Exhibit "B" thereof, are hereby made a part of <br />the minutes as Exhibit "A", as though set out in full herein. <br />Discussion followed on the two surveys conducted. Financial Services <br />Manager Jerry Young handed out a recap of the proposed salary increases <br />by percentages. Mr. Young stated after meeting with Dr. Garcia who <br />conducted the second survey, a concensus was reached and the increases <br />are as in the handout just provided. <br />Council Member Cisneros asked what the total increase was going <br />to cost the City. Mr. Young replied the amount would be $263,000 <br />for the remainder of the fiscal year. <br />1 MAY 16 1991 <br />
