1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 241 25 26 27 28 29 30 31 321 RESOLUTION NO. 3633 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF COLTON, CALIFORNIA, AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 3629, ORDERING, CALLING, PROVIDING FOR AND GIVING NOTICE OF A SPECIAL MUNICIPAL ELECTION TO BE HELD IN SAID CITY ON NOVEMBER 2, 1976, FOR THE PURPOSE OF SUBMITTING TO THE QUALIFIED VOTERS OF SAID CITY AN ORDI- NANCE RELATING TO AMENDING THE CITY OF COLTON'S EMPLOYEES RETIREMENT PLAN AND CONSOLIDATING SAID ELECTION WITH THE STATEWIDE GENERAL ELECTION TO BE ON SAID DATE. BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLTON, CALIFORNIA, IAS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. That Section 2 of Resolution No. 3629 is hereby amended to read as follows: SECTION 2. The proposed ordinance submitted to the voters shall be as follows ORDINANCE NO. 1502 AN ORDINANCE OF THE PEOPLE OF THE CITY OF COLTON AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 1421 AUTHORIZING AN AMEND- MENT TO THE CONTRACT BETWEEN THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLTON AND THE PUBLIC EMPLOYEES' RETIRE- MENT SYSTEM TO INCLUDE IMPROVED RETIREMENT BENEFITS FOR LOCAL SAFETY EMPLOYEES (POLICEMEN AND FIREMEN) OF THE CITY, THE PEOPLE OF THE CITY OF COLTON DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. That an amendment to the contract between the City Council of the City of Colton and the Board of Administration Public Employees' Retire- ment System is hereby approved to include improved retirement benefits for the Colton Policemen and Firemen, herein referred to as local safety members, a copy of said amendment to contract being attached hereto, marked Exhibit "At1, and by such reference made a part hereof as though herein set out in full. Section 2. The Mayor of the City of Colton is hereby authorized, empowered, and directed to execute said amendment to contract for and on behalf of said Agency. Section 3. The City Council of the City of Colton shall levy such taxes as the City Council shall determine are necessary to maintain the City's share of the improved retirement benefits for the local safety members. Section 4. This ordinance shall take effect on June 30, 1977.
