it <br />z <br />3 <br />4 <br />5 <br />6 <br />7 <br />8 <br />9 <br />10 <br />lI <br />12' <br />13 <br />14 <br />15 <br />16 <br />17 <br />18 <br />19 <br />20 <br />21 <br />22 <br />23 <br />24 <br />25 <br />26 <br />27 <br />28 <br />RESOLUTION NO. 3738 <br />RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF COLTON AUTHORIZING SUBMISSION OF TITLE V <br />GRANT APPLICATION. <br />WHEREAS, the Congress, under Title V of the Older Americans Act, <br />has authorized the establishment of a Grant -In -Aid Program providing matching <br />funds to the State of California and its political subdivisions for acquisition, <br />alteration, or renovation of multi-purpose senior centers; and <br />WHEREAS, the California Department of Aging is responsible for <br />the administration of the program within the State, setting up necessary rules <br />and procedures governing application by local agencies under the program; and <br />WHEREAS, said adopted procedures established by the California <br />Department of Aging require the applicant to submit project proposals to area <br />commissions on aging for review, comment and prioritization; and <br />WHEREAS, the San Bernardino Area Senior Affairs Commission has <br />recommended the City of Colton receive $7,830 for the purchase of equipment <br />in two Senior Centers; and <br />WHEREAS, the application contains assurances the City shall <br />comply with; and <br />'Jadopted plan; <br />WHEREAS, the proposed use of funds is consistent with a locally <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the <br />City of Colton hereby <br />1. Approves the filing of an application for Title V funding <br />assistance. <br />
