R-146-05 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />COLTON APPROVING A GENERAL PLAN AMENDMENT TO <br />AMEND THE LAND USE DESIGNATION OF PROPERTY <br />GENERALLY LOCATED EAST OF OLD PELLISIER ROAD AND <br />NORTH OF CENTER STREET IN THE CITY OF COLTON FROM <br />LOW DENSITY RESIDENTIAL TO LIGHT INDUSTRIAL DAP NO. <br />000-450 AND AS PART OF THE 4TH GROUP OF GENERAL <br />PLAN AMENDMENTS FOR 2005: <br />WHEREAS, G.W. Singletary (the Applicant) an filed application (File No. DAP - <br />000 -450) requesting approval of a general plan amendment to change the land use <br />designation from "Low Density Residential" to "Light Industrial" for property generally <br />located east of Old Pellisier Road and north of Center Street (Assessor Parcel No. 1167- <br />021-23 in the City of Colton, County of San Bernardino and the Colton Police Department <br />filed an application (File No. DAP -000-501) requesting a general plan amendment to <br />change the land use designation from Medium Density Residential to Light Industrial for <br />property located at on the west side of Fogg Street, south of East M Street and north of <br />Congress Street (Assessor Parcel No. 0163-232-024) in the City of Colton, County of San <br />Bernardino (collectively the "Application"); and <br />WHEREAS, the Application was referred to all affected public agencies <br />pursuant to section 65352 of the Government Code; <br />WHEREAS, the Application was reviewed, studied, and found to comply with <br />the California Environmental Quality Act ("CEQX) as more fully described below; <br />WHEREAS, on September 27, 2005, the Planning Commission of the City of <br />Colton ("Planning Commission") conducted a duly noticed public hearing on the Singletary <br />application at which time all persons wishing to testify in connection with the Singletary <br />application were heard and the application was fully studied; <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission adopted a Resolution recommending <br />approval of this the Singletary Application; and <br />- 1 - <br />
