I RESOLUTION NO. R-97-06 <br />2 <br />3 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />COLTON ESTABLISHING A POLICY FOR MISCELLANEOUS <br />4 SPECIAL EVENTS AND ALLOCATION OF FACILITIES, PARK <br />SPACE AND ATHLETIC FIELDS <br />5 <br />6 WHEREAS, in December 2002, the City Council adopted Ordinance No. 0-17-02 <br />7 which established uniform procedures for issuing permits for special events within the City; <br />and <br />8 <br />9 WHEREAS, the City has seen an increase in the use of City facilities, parks and <br />10 athletic fields for small scale miscellaneous special events, such as church activities, <br />weddings and long-term use of athletic fields by local sports leagues ; and <br />11 <br />12 WHEREAS, the City Council wishes to establish a policy specifically to address the <br />13 unique issues created by such small scale miscellaneous special events. <br />14 BE IT NOW THEREFORE RESOLVED AS FOLLOWS: <br />15 <br />16 1 . The City Council hereby adopts the "City of Colton Policy for <br />Miscellaneous Special Events and Allocation of Facilities, Park Space and Athletic Fields, 19 <br />17 attached hereto as Exhibit "A" and incorporated herein by this reference. <br />18 <br />19 2. This Resolution shall repeal any other resolutions or portions thereof to <br />the extent that such resolutions or portions thereof are in conflict with this Resolution. <br />20 <br />21 3.
