AGUILERA, Director Community Development Department SUBJECT: APPROVAL OF CONTRACT = Authorization for City Manag ra e ; August 31, 1988 to enter into a contract with RHA, Inc., for the preparation of landscape pians and construction bid package for the development of the South T a adena Linear Park. BACKGROUND I The development of a Linear Park on the Site of the abandoned roadside rest on South La Cadena Drive (adjacent to Fire Station Number 3) was approved by Council on April 5, 1988, as part of the South La Cadena Drive Corridor Beautification and Public Improvement Plan. Randolph Hlubick and Associates (RHA), Inc., acting as the city architect, has agreed to prepare a Landscape Plan and a construction bid package which will include landscape specifications in addition to design and engineering specifications in order for the city to go out to formal bid for the construction of the impro ements to the South La Cadena Linear Park. RHA, Inc., has proposed to prepare the documents at a cost not to exceed $15,350.00 and which also includes RHA services to oversee the construction of the park site in conjunction With the city's Community Development and Public Works staff. RECOMMENDATION Staff recommends that Council approve the attached contract with RHA, Inc., and authorize the City Manager to execute t e agreement.
