CITY OF COLTON <br />:°:Orr <br />AGENDA REPORT 1ss7 <br />For Council Meeting of November 15, 1994 <br />TO: HONORABLE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL DATE: November 7, 1994 <br />FROM: GRACIE FERNANDEZ-HARMON <br />Personnel Director <br />SUBJECT: UNFREEZE CODE ENFORCEMENT OFFICER POSITION IN THE COMMUNITY <br />DEVELOPMENT DEPARTMENT AND AUTHORIZE STAFF TO BEGIN <br />RECRUITMENT PROCESS. <br />BACKGROUND: <br />The Code Enforcement Officer position in the Community Development Department is currently filled on a <br />provisional basis. David Zamora, Community Development Director has submitted a Request for Recruitment <br />form so that the recruitment process can proceed. City Rules and Regulations mandate that an eligibility list <br />be established for any permanent position filled by provisional appointment. <br />FINANCIAL IMPACT: <br />This position is funded in the FY 94/95 Budget, therefore it will not affect the projected salary savings. <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />Staff recommends that Council unfreeze the position and authorize staff to begin recruitment process. <br />Concur: "�Ooa'A <br />City Man <br />__e!) <br />Attachments: Request for Recruitment <br />c:agenda: Nov l5 <br />Item No. 11 <br />
