PROPOSAL PROJECT: WASTEWATER RECLAMATION DEMONSTRATION PROJECT, PROJECT NO. PU 94-6 LOCATION: CITY OF COLTON OWNER: CITY OF COLTON, PUBLIC WORKS UTILITIES/WASTEWATER BIDDER: To the Honorable Mayor and City Council City of Colton 650 N. La Cadena Drive Colton, CA 92324 In compliance with your invitation for bids, the undersigned has carefully examined the plans and specifications for the above project, located in the City of Colton, County of San Bernardino, State of California, and is conversant with, and understands the amount and character of the same. The undersigned has examined the site of the proposed work and is familiar with the local conditions at the place where the work is to be done. The undersigned hereby proposes to furnish all materials, labor, tools, equipment, apparatus, facilities and transportation necessary to complete all work in the strict conformity with the drawings and specifications of, and under the supervision of the Water Utilities Manager or other representative of the City of Colton, at the prices listed below. Escalation of price will not be permitted. Time for completion of the work is 150 calendar days after receipt of Notice to Proceed. DESCRIPTION OF BID ITEMS All items to be completed in accordance with the plans and specifications. Bid Item 1 includes demolition, removal,, and disposal of pipe, pavement, concrete and miscellaneous materials shown on the drawings. Bid Item 2 includes site preparation clearing, grubbing, stripping of 6 inches of material and disposal of all resultant material. Bid Item 3 includes common excavation of earth for construction of ponds, and over -excavation of earth under embankment areas. Additional over -excavation beyond 4 feet may be required by the Engineer and will be paid for at the same unit price. Bid Item 4 includes construction of embankment for ponds using compacted onsite material. If additional over -excavation is required by the Engineer, the added in-place volume for embankment will be paid for at the same unit price. Bid Item 5 includes off -haul and disposal of all excess earth material from the excavation. The quantity will be the difference between the actual in place quantities of excavation and embankment. Bid Item 6 includes construction of a waterproof geomembrane pond liner system with geotextile cushion and appurtenant penetrations and vents.
