11.2 <br />On motion of Councilman Gonzales, seconded by Councilman Hayes and unanimously' passed, second <br />reading was approved and Ordinance No. 1467 adopted. <br />ORAL COMMUNICATIONS: <br />Councilman Hayes stated that a Parade Permit has been submitted by Mr. Chuck Faren of the <br />Colton High School, for the Colton High Homecoming Parade, to be held Friday, October 25, <br />1974, at 5:00 p.m., beginning at Laurel Street and Rancho Avenue, and terminating at the <br />Stadium. <br />On motion of Councilwoman Spragins, seconded by Councilman Hayes and unanimously passed, the <br />Parade Permit requested by the Colton High School for October 25, 1974, was approved. <br />EXECUTIVE SESSION: <br />The City Council adjourned to Executive Session at 9:06 p.m-., on the request of Mayor <br />Huntoon. <br />The City Council reconvened at 9:28 p.., all members present. <br />Appointment to Recreation and Parks Commission. <br />On motion of Councilman Hayes, seconded by Councilwoman Spragins and unanimously passed, <br />Council approved Mayor Huntoon's appointment of Mr. Amos Kent to fill the unexpired term <br />of Mrs. Barbara Martin on the Recreation and Parks Commission. <br />Appointment to the Planning Commission. <br />On motion of Councilman Hayes, seconded by Councilwoman Spragins and unanimously passed, <br />Council approved Mayor Huntoon's appointment of Mr. Gus Llamas to fill the unexpired term <br />of Mr. Danny Morales on the Planning Commission. <br />ADJOURNMENT: <br />There being no further business to come before the City Council at this time, on motion of <br />Councilman Rehrer, seconded by Councilwoman Spragins and unanimously passed, Mayor Huntoon <br />adjourned the meeting at 9:30 p.m. <br />Approved this day of , 1974. <br />Mayor <br />COUNCIL MEETING <br />November 6, 1974 <br />HELEN A. RAMOS <br />City Clerk <br />A regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Colton was held on the above given date <br />at 7:30 p.m., in the Council Chambers of City Hall, Mayor Huntoon presiding. <br />Mayor Huntoon led the group in the Pledge of Allegiance to the.Flag. <br />Invocation was offered by Councilman Leroy Rehrer. <br />ROLL CALL: <br />Council members present were Hayes, Spragins, Rehrer , Gonzales, and Mayor Huntoon. Also <br />present were City Manager Huffaker, City Attorney Hutton, and City Clerk Ramos. <br />CONSENT CALENDAR: <br />On motion of Councilman Rehrer, seconded by Councilman Hayes and unanimously passed, the <br />Consent Calendar was approved as follows: <br />1. Approval of Minutes - Regular Meeting held October 15, 1974, as on file in the <br />Office of the City Clerk, <br />2. Approval of Warrants - Nos. 15009 through 15304, and Nos. 265 through 457 (October <br />31) inclusive, as recommended by the Director of Finance. <br />3. Disabled American Veterans request to conduct forget-me-not Fund Raising Drive, <br />November 7-113, 1974. Approval subject to ratification of Chief of Police. <br />4. Claim: Charles Barrios Gonzales, Sam Wesley Berry, and Henry Lee Battle, indivi- <br />duals vs. City of Colton.
