2:31 <br />COUNCIL MEETING <br />December 16, 1975 <br />A regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Colton was held on the above given date at 7:30 <br />p.m., in the Council Chambers of City Hall, Mayor Huntoon presiding. <br />Mayor Huntoon led the group in the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag. <br />Invocation was offered by the Reverend Father Michael A. Keane of Immaculate Conception Church. <br />ROLL CALL: <br />Council members present were Hayes, Spragins, Rehrer, and Mayor Huntoon. Also present were City Manager <br />Huffaker, City Attorney Edwards, and City Clerk Ramos. Absent was Councilman Gonzales. <br />Mayor Huntoon read a letter from Councilman Gonzales explaining his absence <br />tonight was due to his recent automobile accident. <br />CONSENT CALENDAR: <br />Mini i -Fac <br />December 2, 1975 <br />hlarran+c <br />4110 through 4331 <br />23877 through 24163 <br />December 5, 1975 Inclusive <br />Grant Deed - Accept and authorize recording: <br />Richard Anson Yazell and Frances Ellen Yazell, for road purposes. <br />Moved by Councilman Rehrer, seconded by Councilman Hayes, to approve the Consent Calendar. Vote was <br />unanimous. <br />PUBLIC HEARINGS: <br />Vacation <br />Alley - Between "G" and "H" Streets, Resolution No. 3550. <br />Mayor Huntoon declared the public hearing open. <br />City Clerk Ramos submitted the Affidavits of publication and posting, and reported no protests or objections <br />had been received. <br />Mr. Earl L. Young, Director of Community Services, reported this public hearing was set at the November <br />4, 1975 Council Meeting and pointed out a drawing showing the alley to be vacated in red. <br />Mayor Huntoon asked if there was any one present wishing to be heard. <br />No one came forward. <br />Moved by Councilman Rehrer, seconded by Councilwoman Spragins, to terminate <br />the public hearing. Unanimous vote. <br />Moved by Councilman Rehrer, seconded by Councilman Hayes, to approve Resolution <br />No. 3556. Unanimous vote. <br />RESOLUTION NO. 3556 - RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLTON, <br />CALIFORNIA, ORDERING THE ABANDONMENT OF ALLEY EAST OF <br />PEN14SYLVANIA AVENUE BETWEEN "G" STREET AND "H" STREET. <br />Zone Change <br />Planning Commission Resolution No. 790 <br />Mayor Huntoon announced that this is the time and place fixed for Public Hearing <br />on Planning Commission Resolution No. 790, Zone Change from C-2 to R-1, at 1333, 1345, 1355, 1365, and 1371 <br />No. La Cadena Drive. <br />City Clerk Ramos submitted the Affidavit of Publication and reported no pro -tests or objections had been <br />received. <br />Planning Director Williams presented the Staff Report, saying that this zone <br />change was initiated and approved by the Planning Commission. All of the lots involved, with the exception of <br />one; which has an additional dwelling on it, are currently used as single family residential or R-1. Mr. <br />Williams reported the zone change does not involve the professional building on the most easterly portion of <br />the block. The R-1 zoning will conform with the present use of the property. <br />Mayor Huntoon asked if their was any one in the audience wishing to be heard. <br />No one spoke. <br />Moved by Councilman Hayes, seconded by Councilman Rehrer, to terminate the <br />public hearing. Unanimous vote. <br />Moved by Councilman Hayes, seconded by Councilman Rehrer, to pass first reading <br />of Ordinance No. 1488. Unanimous vote. <br />ORDINANCE NO. 1488 - AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF COLTON AMENDING ORDINANCE <br />NO. 964, AS AMENDED, AND PROVIDING FOR CERTAIN ZONE <br />RECLASSIFICATIONS. <br />CORRESPONDENCE: <br />Parks <br />Reverend Father Michael Keane, Immaculate Conception Church <br />Father Keane addressed the City Council, saying that a few years ago he had come before the Council to protest <br />the building of a YMCA Branch Facility at Municipal Park.
