132 Moved by Councilman Rehrer, seconded by Councilman Hayes, approving Agreement <br />between the City of Colton and the R. F. Dickson Company, Inc., for street sweep- <br />ing services, and authorizing Mayor to execute same. Motion carried, with Council- <br />woman Cisneros voting NO. <br />ORAL COMMUNICATIONS - <br />Mr. Dean Carter, 800.North 2nd Street, asked if the street sweeping agreement also <br />includes the streets within the Cemetery. <br />City Manager Calabrese answered yes, it does. <br />Mr. Thomas Lee, resident of Lake Cadena Mobile Home Park, expressed his dissatis- <br />faction on the proceedings and results concerning Ordinance No. 1539, and the con- <br />tinued problems the residents are forced to live with at their Park. Mr. Lee also <br />spoke to the Council Members regarding the proposed mobile home park, discussed <br />earlier during the meeting, stating he felt the City Council should keep a close <br />watch on this development. <br />Mr. Clyde Hippensteel, Project Manager for the Cooley Ranch Project, requested <br />Council approval and the City crews' assistance in setting up bleachers, and re- <br />moving them, for a special tennis match to be held Saturday afternoon, August 19, <br />1978, which has been.scheduled to stimulate more enthusiasm for a tennis program <br />for the youth of the community. Mr. Hippensteel stated he has discussed this <br />program with the City's Recreation Director, Max Lofy, who agrees it is a good, <br />recreational program for the City. <br />Councilman Rehrer stated that to his knowledge there are no funds budgeted for <br />this, and where would these funds come from <br />City Manager Calabrese stated the funds could be allocated from the Community Pro- <br />motion Fund. <br />Moved by Councilwoman Cisneros, seconded by Councilman Hayes, approving and authoriz- <br />ing use of City crews to set up and dismantle bleachers for tennis match to be held <br />Saturday afternoon, August 19, 1978, at Fiesta Village. Motion carried, with Council- <br />man Rehrer voting NO. <br />ADJOURNMENT: <br />Moved by Councilman Rehrer, seconded by Councilwoman Cisneros and unanimously passed, <br />Mayor Gonzales adjourned the meeting at 9:10 p. m. <br />HELEN A. RAMOS <br />City Clerk <br />City of Colton <br />COUNCIL MEETING <br />September 5, 1978 <br />A regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Colton was held <br />on the above given date at 7:30 p.m., in the Council Chambers of City <br />Hall, Mayor Gonzales presiding. <br />Mayor Gonzales led the group in the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag. <br />Invocation was offered by Councilman Leroy Rehrer. <br />ROLL CALL: <br />Council members present were Hayes, Cisneros, Rehrer, and Mayor Gonzales. <br />Also present were City Manager Calabrese, City Attorney Edwards, and <br />City Clerk Ramos. <br />S E P 51978 <br />
