4 50 ORDINANCE NO. 1586 - AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLTON AMENDING First Reading) SECTION, 3. OF ORDINANCE NO. 1471 AND SECTION 5.02.500 OF THE COLTON MUNICIPAL CODE PROVIDING FOR A BUSINESS LICENSE TAX FOR AUCTIONEERS. CITY ATTORNEY'S REPORTS AND RFC0MMFNDATTnNS_- Minutes City Attorney Edwards called the City Council's attention to a Memorandum from the City Clerk, dated July 15, 1980, regarding an addition to the Council Minutes of January 3, 1979. Mr. Edwards stated the memorandum reports the January 3, 1979 minutes as approved by the City Council do not reflect the motions adopting Resolution Nos. 3889 and 3890, and further, the memorandum sets out what should have been included in the minutes. Mr. Edwards stated if the City Council concurs, a motion that the Minutes of the City Council of January 3, 1979, be amended in accordance with the memorandum from the City Clerk would be in order. Moved by Councilman Hayes, seconded by Councilwoman Garcia, to approve the amendment to the Minutes of the City Council of January 3, 1979, as recommended by staff. Motion carried. Councilwoman Garcia Abstaining. ORAL COMMUNICATIONS: Mr. Frank Smith, 270 West "F" Street, Colton, complained about the early morning noise being created by both the railroads and Kelley Mill, stating this is dis- turbing to the residents and the City Council should do something about it. Staff was directed to check into this matter. RECESS: The City Council recessed at 8:44 p. m., to conduct the business of the Redevelop- ment Agency for the City of Colton, and reconvened at 9:07 p. m. FXFCIITTVF SFSSMN The City Council adjourned to Executive Session at 9:08 p. m., to discuss matters of Litigation, and reconvened at 10:48 p. m., all Members present. ADJOURNMENT: Moved by Councilman Hayes, seconded by Councilman Rehrer and unanimously passed, Mayor Gonzales adjourned the meeting at 10:50 p. m., to meet for an Adjourned Regu- lar Meeting on Monday, July 21, 1980, at 5:00 p. m., in the Council Chambers. ROLL CALL: Council members present were Hayes, Rehrer, Garcia, and Mayor Gonzales. Also present were Acting City Manager Trevino, City Attorney Edwards, and Deputy City Clerk Veralrud.
