432 EXECUTIVE SESSION: <br />The City Council adjourned to executive session at 9:07 p. m., to discuss the <br />matter of Meet and Confer status. The City Council reconvened at 9:14 p. m., <br />all members present. <br />AmnlIRNMFNT <br />There being no further business to come before the Council at this time, on motion <br />of Councilwoman Garcia, seconded by Councilman Hayes and unanimously passed, Mayor <br />Gonzales adjourned the meeting at 9:15 p. m., to meet for an Adjourned City Council <br />Meeting on Wednesday, June 25, 1980, at 6:30 p. m., in the Council Chambers of City <br />Hall. <br />HELEN A. RAMOS, CMC <br />City Clerk <br />Approved this 1st day of July, 1980. <br />ADJOURNED COUNCIL MEETING <br />JUNE 259 1980 <br />In accordance with notice duly and legally given, an Adjourned Regular Meeting of <br />the City Council of the City of Colton was held on the above given date at 6:30 <br />p. m., in the Council Chambers of City Hall, Mayor Gonzales presiding. <br />RnI I CAI I <br />Council members present were Hayes, Cisneros, Garcia, and Mayor Gonzales. Also <br />present were Acting City Manager Elliott, City Attorney Edwards, Acting Finance <br />Director Andengaard, City Auditor Young, and City Clerk Ramos. Absent was Council <br />member Rehrer, who is on vacation. <br />BUDGET: <br />Community Services <br />Mayor Gonzales said he would like the City Council to reconsider his proposal to <br />delete the Parks and Cemetery Superintendent as he had outlined during preliminary <br />budget review. <br />Moved by Mayor Gonzales, seconded by Councilwoman Garcia, to approve the final <br />budget for Community Services deleting the Parks and Cemetery Superintendent and <br />the tentatively approved Assistant Civil Engineer. Motion carried. Councilwoman <br />Cisneros voting NO. <br />City Manager <br />Councilwoman Garcia stated that she was still of the opinion that the City could <br />save money by deleting the position of City Auditor and having an outside firm <br />perform the needed audits. <br />Discussion followed, with City Auditor Young explaining the various types of audits <br />and financial reports he has prepared. <br />Moved by Councilwoman Garcia to approve the City Manager's Budget with the deletion <br />of the City Auditor position, seconded by Mayor Gonzales. Motion failed Council <br />members Cisneros and Hayes voting NO. <br />Moved by Councilman Hayes, seconded by Councilwoman Cisneros, to approve the City <br />Manager's Budget as submitted. Motion failed. Council member Garcia and Mayor <br />Gonzales voting NO. <br />Fire <br />Moved by Councilman Hayes, seconded by Councilwoman Cisneros, to approve the Fire <br />Budget as previously tentatively approved. Unanimous vote. <br />Police <br />Moved by Councilwoman Garcia, seconded by Mayor Gonzales, to approve the Police Budget <br />with the deletion of the Clerk Typist tentatively approved. Motion failed. Council <br />members Hayes and Cisneros voting NO. <br />JUN 2 6 1980 <br />
