COUNCIL MEETING OCTOBER 7, 1980 A regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Colton was held on the above given date at 7:30 p. m., in the Council Chambers of City Hall, Mayor Gonzales presiding. Mayor Gonzales led the group in the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag. Invocation was offered by Councilman Leroy Rehrer. RrA i rA[ Council Members present were Hayes, Cisneros, Rehrer, Garcia, and Mayor Gonzales. Also present were Acting City Manager Elliott, City Attorney Edwards and City Clerk Ramos. Authorization to request quotes on Power Transformer, Metal Clad Switchgear, and Power Circuit Breaker. Authorization to request quotes on Pre -Fabricated Building. Authorization to advertise for Bids, 1980-81 Street Overlay Program. Public Works Public Works Projects Progress Report. Safety Program City Employee Safety Slogan Contest. Assessment Districts City Treasurer's status report on Assessment Districts. Deeds Individual Grant Deed, Max Hopkins/J. S. Wight, approve and authorize re- cording. Claims Herbert Sabens versus City of Colton. Recommend denial. Moved by Councilwoman Cisneros, seconded by Councilman Hayes, to approve the Con- sent Calendar. Unanimous vote. MAYOR'S REPORTS AND PRnci AMATrnN, Proclamations National PTA/PTSA Membership Month Mayor Gonzales read in full a Proclamation declaring October as National PTA/PTSA Membership Month, which was accepted by Mrs. Sheila Rios.
