CITY COUNCIL <br />ADJOURNED REGULAR MEETING MINUTES <br />MAY 24, 1995 <br />In accordance with notice duly and legally given, an Adjourned <br />Regular Meeting of the City Council of the City of Colton was held <br />on the above given date at 6 x 00 p.m., in the Council Chambers of <br />City Hall, Magor Fulp presiding. <br />ROLL CALL: <br />Council members. present were Hutton, Sandoval, Bennett, Cook,, <br />Sanders, Beltran and Mayer Fulp9 Also present were City Manager <br />Martinez, City Attorney Biggs and. City Clerk Ramos. <br />BUDGET <br />Library, <br />Councilmember Sandoval reported he had received the information he <br />had, requested with regards to the comparison with surrounding <br />libraries and was sat.isf ied a <br />Moved by Ceun ilmem er Sandoval, seconded by Councilmember Hutton, <br />to tentatively approve the Library budget. Motion carried. Mayor <br />Pulp voted "no". Council.member Bennett abstained. <br />GENERAL. GOVERNMENT <br />Cit Counc 11 <br />Assistant to City Manager Parrish reported the City Council budget <br />is as submitted by Executive Assistant Margaret Ramos. There is <br />one proposed ed change under Dues & Publications; to increase from <br />$15,000 to $22,000. Brief discussion followed on the need to say <br />cast due dues and remain active in the various organizations. <br />. <br />Coune.i lmember Sandoval stated he would like to see the Travel & <br />Meetings Account increased from $7,000 to $10t000. <br />ounei..member Sanders asked why the drastic increase in this <br />account. Assistant to the City Manager Parrish responded that some <br />of these funds had been previously budgeted in Conmu. t Pre -motion <br />Fund and that fund no longer exists. City Manager Martinez <br />reported that the Community Promotion position had been abolished <br />in Fiscal Heath. process. <br />Mayor Fulp asked, if there was any objection to increasing the Dues <br />& Publications Account from $15,000 to $22,000.
