CITY COUNCIL AND COLTON UTILITIES COMMISSION <br />JOINT MEETING MINUTES <br />MARCH 13t 1995 <br />In accordance with notice duly and legally given, a Joint Adjourned <br />Study Session of the City Council and the Colton Utilities <br />commission was held on the above given date t 6:15 p.m., in the <br />Council Chambers of City Hall, Mayor Fu p and chairperson Walsh <br />presiding. <br />Councilmembers present were Hutton, Sandoval, Bennett, Cook, <br />Sanders, Bel ran and Mayor Fulp. Also present were City Manager <br />IMartnez, City Attorney Biggs and City Clerk Ramos. <br />]!ILITIES COMMISSION <br />Commissioners present. were <br />Chairperson War b 9 Absent <br />Martinez. <br />alogo ais, Butler, Jackson, and <br />were Commissioners Martinez, Hines, <br />Mr. Fred Cordova, 190 West "Ell Street, said at the last meeting of <br />the Council he Darned something that others should be aware of. <br />He said be has made various pitches to the Council to have the <br />Council impose a parcel tax to raise revenues. He said at the last <br />Council Meeting City Manager Martinez read a list of items that be <br />and stiff have proposed for revenue enhancements. Mr. Cordova said <br />the problem is that the citizens do not know that the proposal <br />exists. Mr. Cordova said the Council receives backup material that <br />the public does not see and the citizens are limn.d to the <br />knowledge they can glean from the Agenda. <br />ou til €e b r Sandoval suggested that complete Agenda Packets be <br />prepared, one for view at the information desk and the other In the <br />City Clarkfs Office. ity Clerk Ramos desponded that the Agenda <br />Packet i. available for review in the Clerkts Office the Homey <br />prior to the Tuesday Council Meeting. Mr. Cordova said there have <br />been times when he has requested backup material and has been told <br />n the Clerk -'s Office that there is none. City Clerk Ramos noted <br />that from time to time there is a notation in the Council.
