_ ADJOURNED AND REGULAR MEETINGS <br />COLTON CITY COUNCIL <br />JANUARY 4, 1996 <br />Adjourned Meeting and Regular Meeting of the City Council of the City of Colton <br />were held in the Council Chambers of City Hall on the above -given date starting at <br />6:39 P. M., with Mayor Fulp presiding. <br />FLAG SA T. <br />Mayor Fulp led the assembly in the Pledge of Allegiance. <br />INVOCATION <br />The invocation and special prayers for the family of Councilmember Deirdre <br />Bennett were given by Chaplain Eric Strutz. <br />Present were Council Member John C. Hutton, Council Member David Sandoval, <br />Council Member Betty L. Cook, Council Member Donald Sanders, Council Member <br />Abe E. Beltran, and Mayor George V. Fulp. Also present were City Attorney Biggs, <br />City Manager Nabar Enrique Martinez, and Deputy City Clerk Teresa Delgado. <br />Council Member Deirdre Bennett was not present. Due to a family emergency. <br />REGULAR MEETING <br />MAYOR AND C01INCIL ITEMS <br />PRESENTATIONS, AWARDS, PROCLAMATIONS. <br />Mayor Fulp and Council Member Cook presented Certificates of Recognition to <br />Colton's the Red Flames, an all -girls under 14 team, which completed their regular <br />season undefeated and went on to win the American Cup and the State Soccer <br />Championship for recreational teams. Coach Rios acknowledged Player of the <br />Year, Anita Hernandez as well as team members Jessica Leon, Linda Herrera, <br />Trisha Dearington, Tina Moreno, Sylvia Rios, Erica Rivera, Denise Lucero, Marisa <br />Silva, Elizabeth Herrera, Corrina Murrieta, Devina Palafox, Jennifer Arspudo and <br />Joanne Flores. Also recognized were Coaches Marie Rivera, Frank Silva and Sal <br />Rios including Team Mother Rachel Rios.
