CITY COUNCIL REGULAR MEETING MINUTES <br />JUNE 4, 1996 <br />A regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Colton was held on the above <br />given date at 6:39 P. M., in the Council Chambers of City Hall, Mayor Fulp presiding. <br />FLAG SALUTE: <br />Mayor Fulp led the assembly in the Pledge of Allegiance. <br />INVOCATION: <br />Chaplain Tom Harvick offered the invocation. <br />ROLL CALL: <br />Present were Councilmember Floyd D. Hansen, Councilmember Deirdre H. Bennett, <br />Councilmember Betty L. Cook, Co-uncilmember Don Sanders, Councilmember Abe E. <br />Beltran and Mayor Fulp. Absent, on vacation, was Councilmember John C. Hutton. <br />Also present were City Attorney Biggs, City Manager Martinez and City Clerk <br />Freeman. <br />MAYOR AND COUNCIL ITEMS: <br />Presentations, Proclamations <br />Mayor Fulp paid tribute to the following citizens for their commitment to this <br />community: Esperanza Gallardo, Director of Ballet Folklorico de Mixcoacali; Steve <br />Aguilar, Albert Guardado, Jr., Neil E. Peterson, Fred Soriano; Post 155 of American <br />Legion namely, Greg Fife, Bud Bracken, Tony Lemus and Mike Walter; and, John <br />Aguilar. <br />AGENDA REVIEW: <br />With Council approval, Mayor Fulp indicated that Item 42 would be advanced and <br />Item 30 be advanced to follow Item 22. In consideration for legal advisors present, <br />CA Biggs requested that Closed Session Items A and C be advanced. Further, she <br />requested that one matter of potential initiation of litigation, that arose subsequent to <br />the posting of the Agenda, be added as an urgency matter, pursuant to Government <br />Code Section 54954.2(b)(2). <br />
