ADJOURNED CITY COUNCIL MEETING FEBRUARY 27, 1997 In accordance with notice duly and legally given, an Adjourned Regular Meeting of the City Council of the City of Colton was held on the above given date at 4:53 p.m., in the Council Chambers of City Hall, Mayor Gaytan presiding. FLAG SALUTE: Fire Chief Hendrix led the assembly in the Pledge of Allegiance. ROLL CALL Councilmembers present were Sandoval, Bennett, Cook, Chastain, Hutton, Sanders, and Mayor Gaytan. Also present were City Attorney Biggs, City Manager Freeman, and City Clerk Barrera. Due to an on going medical problem Mayor Gaytan excused himself temporarily from the dais and Mayor Pro -Tem Cook continued the Council Meeting. PUBLIC COMMENT: Steve Anderson, District 5, commented on the following: Five minute time limit for Public Comment, requested Council leave it as it is with five minutes for each item; Ordinance regarding employment of the City Manager go to the voters in November addressing the "at will' provision; requested that the Mentone/Crafton Plume be agendized; Legal Counsel and Block grant funding for mobile home rehabilitation be made available to the residents of Rancho Med Mobile Home Park; encouraged Mayor Gaytan and Councilmember Sandoval to attend the Homeowners Association meeting at Rancho Med; Volunteer Fire Department concept; and repeal of the Utility Users Tax. MAYOR AND COUNCIL ITEMS: San Timoteo Creek Flood Control Project Moved/second, CM Sandoval/Bennett, to approve and adopt Resolution No. R-13-97. Motion carried with Mayor Gaytan absent.
