ADJOURNED REGULAR COUNCIL MEETING MARCH 10, 1998 In accordance with notice duly and legally given, an Adjourned Regular Meeting of the City Council of the City of Colton was held on the above given date at 6:45 p.m., at the Colton Community Center, 670 Colton Avenue, Colton, California, Mayor Gaytan presiding. FLAG SALUTE: Max Lofy, former Councilmember, led the assembly in the pledge of allegiance. ROLL CALL: Councilmembers present were Grimsby, Bennett, Cook, Chastain, Hutton, Sanders, and Mayor Gaytan. Also present were City Manager Garcia and City Clerk Barrera. Interim City Attorney Carvalho was absent. AGENDA REVIEW: At the request of Mayor Gaytan, Motion/second by CM Cook/Sanders to add Item IA to the Agenda, regarding appointment of an Alternate Board Member to the San Bernardino International Airport Authority (SBIAA) and the Inland Valley Development Agency (IVDA) for the City of Colton, based on the need to take immediate action pursuant to Government Code Section 54954.2(b)(2), and that the matter arose subsequent to the posting of the Agenda, pursuant to Government Code Section 54954.2(a). There was no opposition to the motion. CONSENT CALENDAR IVDA/SBIAA Board Appointment Motion/second by CM Cook/Grimsby to ratify the appointment of Councilmember Donald J. Sanders as the Alternate Board Member of the San Bernardino International Airport authority and the Inland Valley Development Agency for the City of Colton. Discussion of the motion resulted with one opposition vote by CM Chastain. CITY MANAGER'S REPORTS AND RECOMMENDATIONS: Deregulation Workshop Utility Director Clarke gave a one hour presentation entitled "Proposal to Implement Customer Choice in Energy Provider."
