CITY OF COLTON <br />CITY COUNCIL REGULAR MEETING MINUTES <br />MAY 16, 2000 <br />Regular Meeting held on the above -given date at 6:19 P. M., in the Council Chambers of City <br />Hall, with Mayor Pro Tempore Bennett, presiding. <br />FLAG SALUTE: <br />Police Captain Heusterberg led the Pledge of Allegiance. <br />INVOCATION <br />Pastor Ed List led the invocation. <br />ROLL CALL: <br />MEMBERS PRESENT <br />CM Donald J. Father Michael R. McNally Day. <br />➢ Award read recognizing CJUSD Board Member Ray Abril. <br />➢ Proclamation read declaring the week of May 14-20, 2000 in honor of Malcolm X. <br />➢ Proclamation read declaring May 29, 2000 as Memorial Day honoring Veterans of all wars. <br />➢ Presentation made by Steven Smith, Transcor Representative, on the Riverside County <br />Integrated Project and the development of the transportation corridors, particularly the <br />Moreno Valley to San Bernardino Co/I-215 Corridor where the special interest is Reche <br />Canyon Road. Mayor Pro Tempore Bennett informed that the Reche Canyon Task Force <br />recommended improvements to the San Timteo Canyon, Reche Canyon and Pigeon Pass. She <br />urged Council Members to forward letters of support to ensure that the Corridor(s) that affect <br />the City of Colton not be left out. There was no objection to the recommendation.
