M., in the Council Chambers of City <br />Hall, with Mayor Bennett, presiding. <br />FLAG SALUTE: <br />Chief of Police Randy Heusterberg led the Pledge of Allegiance. <br />INVOCATION <br />Chaplain Ed List led the invocation. <br />ROLL CALL: <br />PRESENT <br />CM Donald J. Bennett <br />STAFF PRESENT <br />City Manager Parrish City Attorney Carvalho <br />City Clerk Barrera <br />CEREMONIAL MATTERS: <br />Presentations, Awards, Proclamations <br />➢ A proclamation recognizing the National Latino Peace Officers Association's Police Officer of <br />the Year Award and honoring her upon her accomplishments was presented to Police Officer <br />Clorinda Martinez <br />➢ A proclamation recognizing the MADD award and honoring her upon her accomplishments <br />was presented to Police Officer Teresa Hare. <br />ORDINANCE: <br />First Reading, City Seal <br />Question was raised regarding copyright infringement provisions; the need for detailed description <br />and enforcement. City Attorney Carvalho indicated it was a lengthy process to identify and <br />protect seals. She believed the ordinance would accomplish to prevent the improper use, exact <br />replica, of the City's seal.
