ORDINANCE NO. 891 <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF COLTON CREATING <br />AND ESTABLISHING A CITY MANAGER FORM OF <br />GOVERNMENT FOR THE CITY OF COLTON, DEFINING <br />THE AUTHORITY, POWERS AND DUTIES OF THE CITY <br />MANAGER AND REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES OR PARTS <br />OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT THERLTJITH. <br />The People of the City of Colton do ordain as follows: <br />SECTION I: Office of the City Manager created. The office of <br />the City Manager of the City of Colton is hereby created and established. <br />The City Manager shall be appointed for an indefinite term and shall <br />be removable at the pleasure of at least a majority of the members of <br />the City Council upon the adoption of a resolution so stating in the <br />following manner, to wit: <br />A. At any time from the effective date of appointment, to <br />and including a period of six months thereafter, and <br />at any time from the date of any general municipal <br />election, to and including a period of ninety days <br />there after, by reason of any one or more of the <br />following only: <br />1. Conviction at any time of a felony. <br />2. Conviction at any time of a crime prescribed by Statute <br />and being applicable to municipal corporations. <br />3. For any reason whatsoever by resolution adopted by <br />the unanimous vote of all members of the City Council. <br />B. At any time subsequent to six months after the effective <br />appointment and subsequent to ninety days after the date <br />of general municipal election, by reason of any one or <br />more of the following, only: <br />1. Conviction at any time of a felony. <br />2. Conviction at any time of a crime prescribed by <br />Statute as being applicable to municipal corporations. <br />3. For any reason whatsoever by resolution adopted by the <br />unanimous vote of all members of the City Council. <br />4. For any reason whatsoever by resolution adopted by <br />the affirmative vote of at least a majority of all <br />members of the City Council after a resQlution of <br />
