1 <br />2 <br />3 <br />4 <br />5 <br />6 <br />7 <br />8 <br />9 <br />10 <br />11 <br />12 <br />13 <br />14 <br />15 <br />16 <br />17 <br />18 <br />19 <br />20 <br />21 <br />22 <br />23 <br />24 <br />25 <br />26 <br />27 <br />28 <br />ORDINANCE NO. 0-13-02 <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLTON <br />ADOPTING BY REFERENCE THE 2001 EDITION OF THE CALIFORNIA <br />BUILDING STANDARDS CODE (CALIFORNIA CODE OF <br />REGULATIONS, TITLE 24) INCORPORATING THE 2001 CALIFORNIA <br />BUILDING CODE, VOLUMES I AND II, THE 2001 CALIFORNIA <br />MECHANICAL CODE, THE 2001 CALIFORNIA PLUMBING CODE, THE <br />2001 CALIFORNIA ELECTRICAL CODE, CERTAIN AMENDMENTS, <br />ADDITIONS AND DELETIONS THERETO; ADOPTING BY REFERENCE <br />THE 1997 UNIFORM SIGN CODE, THE 1997 UNIFORM CODE FOR <br />THE ABATEMENT OF DANGEROUS BUILDINGS, THE 1997 UNIFORM <br />ADMINISTRATIVE CODE, THE 2000 UNIFORM SWIMMING POOL, SPA <br />AND HOT TUB CODE, THE 1997 UNIFORM CODE FOR BUILDING <br />CONSERVATION AND THE 1997 UNIFORM HOUSING CODE; <br />REPEALING ORDINANCE NO. 0-11-99; <br />WHEREAS, California Government Code Section 50022 et seq. <br />authorizes the City to adopt by reference the California Building Standards Code <br />(California Code of Regulations, Title 24) adopting certain uniform codes, including the <br />2001 California Building Code ("CBC"), the 2001 California Mechanical Code ("CMC"), <br />the 2001 California Plumbing Code ("CPC'), and the 2001 California Electrical Code <br />("CEC"), and authorizes the City to adopt other uniform codes including the 1997 <br />Uniform Sign Code, the 1997 Uniform Code for the Abatement of Dangerous Buildings, <br />the 1997 Uniform Administrative Code, the 2000 Uniform Swimming Pool, Spa and Hot <br />Tub Code, the 1997 Uniform Code for Building Conservation and the 1997 Uniform <br />Housing Code; and <br />WHEREAS, California Health & Safety Code Section 17958.5 authorizes <br />cities to adopt the California Building Standards Code with modifications determined to <br />be reasonably necessary because of local climatic, topographic or geologic conditions; <br />m <br />1 <br />
