1 <br />2 <br />3 <br />4 <br />5 <br />6. <br />7 <br />8 <br />9 <br />10 <br />11 <br />12 <br />13 <br />14 <br />15 <br />16 <br />17', <br />18 <br />19 <br />20 <br />21 <br />22 <br />23 <br />24 <br />25 <br />26 <br />27 <br />28 <br />RESOLUTION NO. 4696 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF COLTON, CALIFORNIA, INITIATING PROCEEDINGS <br />FOR AN ANNEXATION <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to the Municipal Organization Act of 1977, commencing <br />with Section 35000 of the Government Code, the applicant has filed an <br />application with the Local Agency Formation Commission, making a proposal <br />for an annexation; and <br />WHEREAS, on July 17, 1985, the Local Agency Formation Commission by <br />Resolution No. 1998 (attached hereto as Exhibit 1), approved the proposed <br />annexation and authorized the Council of the City of Colton to initiate <br />and conduct proceedings for the proposed annexation in Compliance with <br />Resolution No. 1998 and pursuant to Government Code Section 35000 et seq.; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVEn by the City Council of the City of <br />Colton, California, as follows: <br />1. That the above recitations are true and correct. <br />2. That the City Council hereby adopts this resolution initiating <br />proceedings for the proposed annexation as provided in Government Code <br />Section 35220 as follows: <br />a. The name of the areas for which any channe of organization <br />is proposed is entitled S:43. The annexation consists of anorox- <br />imately 20.07 acres of uninhabited territory which is currently part <br />of an unincorporated area of the County of San Bernardino. <br />b. The particular changes of organization proposed for the <br />subject area is the annexation of approximately 20.07 acres of <br />unincorporated county land adjacent to the City of Colton. <br />(1) Annexation of the territory described in the appli- <br />cation on file with the Local Agency Formation Commission to <br />the City of Colton. <br />r.. Said changes or organization shall be subject to the terms <br />and conditions specified in Resolution No. 1998 of the Local Agency <br />Formation Commission for a full and complete description of said <br />terms and conditions. <br />H. Preliminary proceedings were commenced when the applicant <br />(.Shadid) made an application to the Local Agency Formation Commis- <br />sion for annexation on February 21, 1985. <br />
