CITY OF COLTON <br />AGENDA REPORT <br />FOR COUNCIL MEETING OF DECEMBER 16, 1997 <br />TO: HONORABLE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL. <br />APPROVAL: LEN WOOD, INTERIM CITY MANAGER <br />FROM: JOHN C. HUTTON, PUBLIC WORKS DIRECTO <br />SUBJECT: APPROVE RESOLUTION REAFFIRMING AND ADOPTING <br />THE 5 YEAR CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM AND <br />TWENTY YEAR TRANSPORTATION PLAN. <br />DATE: <br />BACKGROUND:, <br />December 2, 1997 <br />As part of the County Wide Measure I Sales Initiative Program, an annual adoption and update of the <br />Measure I Five Year Capital Improvement Program and Twenty Year Transportation Plan is required. <br />DISCUSSION /ANALYSIS: <br />Some of the annual pass-through funds support the maintenance of City Streets. With less than 50% of <br />the funding going toward street maintenance, the greater portion is utilized for major projects identified <br />under the Five Year Capital Improvement and Twenty Year Transportation Pian based upon a priority <br />competitive program <br />FINANCIAL IMPACT: <br />The purpose of this report is to provide for an adoption and update to the Measure I Five Year Capital <br />Improvement Program and Twenty Year Transportation Plan, therefore there is no financial impact. <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />Staff recommends that the City Council approve the attached resolution reaffirming and adopting the <br />Five Year Capital Improvement Program and the Measure I Twenty Year Plan narrative (1997/2017), as <br />stipulated in Measure I Requirements. <br />Report prepared by James R.
