CLARKE, UTILITY DIRECTOR�—'`" <br />f SUBJECT: AWARD OF SLUDGE HAUUNG CONTRACT TO PIMA GRO <br />� IN THE AMQUNT OF $14.85/TON <br />� DATE: JULY 7, 1997 <br />BACKGROUND: <br />The sludge hauling contract for the Wastewater Treatment Plant expired on June 30, <br />1997. <br />DISCUSSION: <br />On July Z, 1997, staff received three bids for the FY97-98 sludge hauling contract for <br />the wastewater treatment plant. Also, the bid allows the City, a# the recommendation of <br />the Utility Director, to -renew the contract for ane addi#ional year (FY98-99). The bid <br />results are as follows: <br />1. Pima Gro $'14.85/ton <br />2. Salt Dale Farms $24.95/ton <br />3. L.
