Vernon Corridor Redevelopment Project and Report From <br />Planning Commission Pursuant to Government Code Section <br />65401 and 65402. <br />DATE: March 27, 2000 <br />Background <br />At the January 18, 2000 Agency Board meeting, the Mt. Vernon Citizens Advisory Committee <br />(the "Committee") presented its recommendations on how approximately $2.8 million of <br />available bond proceeds should be used in the Mt. Vernon Corridor Project Area. The final cost <br />breakdown of the projects recommended for funding by the Committee is attached to the staff <br />report as Exhibit "A", and is summarized as follows: <br />1. <br />Mt.
