Data Processi <br />74 <br />Assistant Finance Director Young said he has recommended and the City Manager concurs, <br />that this bedget be tentatively approved condtion upon coming back at a later date <br />with a firm recommendation and proposal on a new system. <br />Moved by Councilwoman Cisneros, seconded by Councilman Hayes, to tentatively approve <br />the Data Processing Budget as recommended. RAMOS, CITY CLERK <br />CITY OF COLTON <br />Approved this 21st day of July, 1981. <br />ADJOURNED COUNCIL MEETING <br />July 14, 1981 <br />In accor'_ance with notice duly and legally given, an Adjourned Regular Meeting <br />JG of the City Council of the City of Colton was held on the above date at 6:00 p.m. <br />in the Council Chambers of City Hall, Mayor Gonzales presiding. <br />�r. <br />RO-L CAI -1.: <br />Council members present were Hayes, Cisneros, Rehrer, Garcia, and Mayor Gonzales. <br />Also ,resent were City Manager Trevino, City Attorney Edwards, City Clerk Ramos, <br />and Financs Assistant Young. <br />GENERAL REVENUE SHARING <br />Libr.ry <br />City Manager Trevino reported a sum of $746,127 was set aside for capital <br />improvements, i.e., the Library. Mr. Trevino said in reviewing the financial <br />structure it has been found that it is not necessary to set aside the total <br />sum of $746,127 for the Library purpose, but rather $125,000 will suffice and <br />this would pay for the first payment. Mr. Trevino said the released balance <br />of funds can then be used for other necessary capital improvements to be <br />determined by the Council at a later date. <br />Moved by Councilwoman Cisneros, seconded by Councilman Hayes, to approve the <br />recommendation of the City Manager to set aside the sum of $125,000 from <br />Rev -nue Snaring for the first payment of the Library and to determine other <br />capital i,rrer,vements projects at a later date for the remaining $621,127 sum <br />released. Unanimous vote. <br />BIDS <br />Police <br />City Yanager Trevino reported at the Adjourned Meeting held July 13, 1981, the <br />Council authorized going to bid on four detective units as requested by the Chief <br />of Police. Mr. Trevino said Chief Elliott is asking that the Council consider <br />waiving the bid security as most car dealers find this an obstacle and inconvenience <br />when bidding on used car specifications as we are doing in this instance. <br />:loved by Councilwoman Cisneros, seconded by Councilman Hayes, to waive the bid <br />security on the four Police cars. Unanimous vote. <br />BUDGET <br />Police <br />City Manager Trevino reported he. and Assistant Finance Director Young, reviewed <br />the Police Budget with Chief Elliott and the Chief has made some changes that he <br />would like to review with the City Council. <br />Chief Elliott addressed the Council saying the changes he has proposed are in <br />personnel. Chief Elliott stated he is requesting two additional police officers <br />and one supervisor. The Chief presented the latest crime statistics, saying that <br />JUL 14 mi <br />
