Mr. Lofy said he had one additional item and that was the amount of $480.00 used to
pay the rental fee at the Colton Women's Club for the senior citizens who meet 2 1:3
there twice a month.
Councilwoman Garcia stated that next time the Council hears a complaint that Colton
does little in the Recreation area, she would suggest a good look at the temporary
salaries being paid to provide recreational activities in this town.
Councilman Rios inquired about the Professional Services Account.
Mr. Lofy responded that this is the amount paid to umpires who work under Abraham
Sanchez' program and that the umpire fees are paid by City Warrant direct to the
person doing the Umpiring.
COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT
Acting City Manager Elliott reported the next budget is that of Community Development,
this budget is one that comes as a result of the Community Development Block Grant
Fund and Lisa Dickey is the person in charge of administering this.
There were no questions.
ADJOURNMENT:
Mayor Huntoon adjourned the meeting at 8:00 p. m., to meet for an Adjourned Regular
N Meeting on Monday, June 14, 1982, at 6:00 p. m., in the Council Chambers of City
N Hall, 650 North La Cadena Drive, Colton, California.
7
HELEN A. RAMOS, CMC
City Clerk
Approved this 15th day of June, 1982.
ADJOURNED COUNCIL MEETING
JUNE 14, 1982
In accordance with notice duly and legally given, an Adjourned Regular Meeting of
the City Council of the City of Colton was held on the above date at 6:00 p. m.,
in the Council Chambers of City Hall, Mayor Huntoon presiding.
ROLL CALL:
Council members present were Rios, Cisneros, Rehrer, Garcia, and Mayor Huntoon.
Also present were Acting City Manager Elliott, City Attorney Edwards, City Clerk
Ramos, Acting Finance Director Andengaard, and Finance Assistant Young.
Community Development
Acting City Manager Elliott reported that he would like Council approval to place
the Community Development Coordinator position under the direction of the Planning
Director.
In response to questions from the Council, Mr. Elliott stated that Lisa Dickey cur-
rently holds that position and is responsible for preparing grant applications,
surveys, studies, and then administering the grant when received.
-- Mr. Elliott stated that Lisa is working 1/2 time in Finance and that this came about
because the adminstration funds from the Community Development Grant were getting
low and did not allow for a full time salary for her. Mr. Elliott said she is work-
ing in Finance in a slot that is scheduled for a person who is currently working in
Data Processing; however, when the computer conversion is complete, the person in
Data Processing will fill the Finance position.
Mr. Elliott reported the funds for administration are limited based on on-going
projects. Currently it appears that the City will have funds directed to on-
going projects for a 3 or 4 year period.
Moved by Councilman Rios, seconded by Cluncilwoman Garcia, to place the position of
Community Development Coordinator under supervision of the Planning Department.
Unanimous vote.
JU 1 1962
