150 COUNCIL MEETING <br />FEBRUARY 2, 1982 <br />A regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Colton was held on the above <br />given date at 7:30 p. m., in the Council Chambers of City Hall, Mayor Gonzales <br />presiding. <br />Mayor Gonzales led the group in the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag. <br />Invocation was offered by Councilman Leroy Rehrer. <br />ROLL CALL: <br />Council Members present were Hayes, Cisneros, Rehrer, Garcia, and Mayor Gonzales. <br />Also present were City Manager Trevino, City Attorney Edwards and City Clerk Ramos. <br />CONSENT CALENDAR: <br />Minutes <br />January 19, 1982 <br />Warrants <br />14278 through 14538 <br />102732 through 102932 <br />January 28, 1982 inclusive <br />Agreements <br />Ground Wire Contact Agreement with Buena Vista Cable TV of Colton. <br />Moved by Councilman Hayes, seconded by Councilwoman Cisneros, to approve the Consent <br />Calendar. Unanimous vote. <br />Councilwoman Garcia questioned the changes in the Agreement with Buena Vista Cable <br />TV of Colton, which were explained to her by City Attorney Edwards and Electric <br />Utility Director Gale Drews. <br />MAYOR'S REPORTS AND PROCLAMATIONS: <br />Proclamations <br />Mayor Gonzales read in full a Proclamation declaring February as American Heart <br />Month. <br />Mayor Gonzales read in full a Proclamation declaring the week of February 7 through <br />13, 1982, as National Crime Prevention Week. The Proclamation was presented to <br />Mrs. Thomas Dickerson, Chairperson, Crime Prevention of the Colton Woman's Club. <br />Awards/Commendations <br />Mr. Ray Rucker, President of Sonitrol Security Systems, presented awards of commen- <br />dation to Officers Victor Paul, Greg Gerth, Steve Glass and Paul Manning for their <br />performance in apprehending a criminal during a robbery. <br />Mayor Gonzales presented Certificates of Appreciation to David Young and Fred <br />Escobar, Park Department employees, for rescuing a female minor and also assist- <br />ing Police in apprehending the child molest suspect. <br />Boards & Commissions <br />Moved by Councilman Hayes, seconded by Councilwoman Garcia, ratifying appointment <br />of Ramon M. Hernandez to the Recreation and Parks Commission. Unanimous vote. <br />PUBLIC HEARINGS: <br />Appeals <br />P. C. Res. No. 1010 <br />Mayor Gonzales declared the Continuance of the Public Hearing. <br />City Clerk Ramos submitted the Affidavit of Posting Notice of Continuance and <br />reported on a letter of protest received from Sylvia Winters. <br />Planning Director Jaime Aguilera reported this public hearing is being continued <br />FEB 2 1982 <br />
