230 <br />CLOSED SESSION: <br />The City Council adjourned to Closed Session at 7:59 P.M. to discuss <br />Personnel Matters and reconvened at 8:21 P.M., all Members present. <br />Mayor Huntoon asked Acting City Manager Elliott to make a report. Mr. Elliott <br />stated that in August of this year, the present Fire Chief, Al Teague, will <br />be retiring, and the appointment of Ron Gemmell as Fire Chief is recommended. <br />Moved by Councilman Rios, seconded by Councilwoman Garcia, to appoint <br />Ron Gemmell as the new Fire Chief. Unanimous vote. <br />Mayor Huntoon reported that Acting City Manager Elliott has been granted <br />a vacation from July 9 through July 16, 1982. City Attorney Edwards has <br />been appointed to assume the duties of City Manager in the absence of <br />Mr. Elliott. These duties will be performed at no extra charge in <br />addition to performing his regular duties. <br />ADJOURNMENT: <br />Moved by Councilman Rehrer, seconded by Councilwoman Garcia and unanimously <br />passed, Mayor Huntoon adjourned the meeting at 8:23 P.M. <br />HELEN A.
