308 <br />Chairman Art Porter and Commissioner Larry Dylina, of the Parks and <br />Recreation Commission, thanked the City Council for their attention <br />and approval of the park improvements program as outlined. <br />CITY MANAGER'S REPORTS AND RECOMMENDATIONS: <br />Fire Station <br />City Manager Elliott reported on a memorandum from Fire Chief Gemmell <br />regarding the proposed Fire Station No. 3 building project, advising — <br />that the County Board of Supervisors will meet April 11, 1983, for <br />authorization to go to bid, the bids will be opened on May 17, 1983, <br />advertising for bids will be done in the Colton Courier on April 14 <br />and 21, 1983, and the bid will call for completion in 150 days. <br />CITY ATTORNEY'S REPORTS AND RECOMMENDATIONS: <br />Sewer Connections <br />Ord. No. 1638 <br />City Attorney Edwards advised that during the lawsuit between Colton, <br />Grand Terrace, and the County, new sewer connections were limited, <br />however, those limitations are no longer necessary as the old sewer <br />plant has been renovated and the court order has been terminated. <br />Mr. Edwards said in this regard, he would introduce Ordinance No. <br />1638 for First Reading. <br />ORDINANCE NO. 1638 - AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF COLTON TERMINATING <br />First Reading PROCEDURES FOR ALLOCATION OF INTERIM SEWER CON- <br />NECTIONS AVAILABLE PURSUANT TO COURT ORDER. <br />Moved by Councilman Rehrer, seconded by Councilman Rios, to waive full <br />reading and pass First Reading of Ordinance No. 1638. RAMOS, CMC <br />City Clerk <br />Approved this 19th day of April, 1983. <br />COUNCIL MEETING <br />APRIL 19, 1983 <br />A regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Colton was held <br />on the above given date at 7:30 P. m., in the Council Chambers of <br />City Hall, Mayor Huntoon presiding. <br />Mayor Huntoon led the group in the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag. —' <br />Invocation was offered by Councilman Leroy Rehrer. <br />ROLL CALL: <br />Council Members present were Rios, Cisneros, Rehrer, and Mayor <br />Huntoon. Also present were City Manager Elliott, City Attorney <br />Edwards, and Deputy City Clerk Veralrud.
