{ <br />ADJOURNED REGULAR COUNCIL MEETING <br />AUGUST 11, 1998 <br />In accordance with notice duly and legally given, an Adjourned Regular Meeting of the <br />City Council of the City of Colton was held on the above given date at 6:30 p.m., in the <br />Council Chambers of City Hall, Mayor Pro Tempore Cook presiding. <br />ROLL CALL: <br />Councilmembers present were Grimsby, Bennett, Chastain, Hutton, Sanders, and Mayor <br />Pro Tempore Cook. Also present were City Manager Garcia and City Clerk Barrera. <br />Absent was Mayor Gaytan. <br />CITY MANAGER'S REPORTS AND RECOMMENDATIONS <br />Code Enforcement Workshop <br />Community Development Director David Zamora introduced his staff. Marty Ragel, <br />Code Enforcement Supervisor; Tish Baden, Code Enforcement Officer; Ernie Hayes, <br />Building Inspector, Tim Weathers, Code Enforcement Officer; and Wanda Molton, <br />Senior Office Specialist. <br />As directed by Mayor Pro Tempore Cook, Director Zamora read the Mission Statement <br />of the Code Enforcement Division. <br />PUBLIC COMMENT: <br />Hans van der Touw, Colton resident, presented and read from a letter addressed to the <br />Mayor and Council by indicating that he was representing his neighborhood and <br />neighbors in an effort to accomplish some badly needed changes in their neighborhood. <br />Director Zamora responded to the concerns of Mr. van der Touw that would involve <br />Code Enforcement. <br />City Manager Garcia began the session with opening remarks as to the purpose and goal <br />of the workshop. <br />Director Zamora reviewed with Council the handout "TEAM COLTON — CODE <br />ENFORCEMENT WORKSHOPS — AUGUST 11, 1998". The six sections covered the <br />following: <br />Section 1 Mission Statement <br />Section 2 List of Staff <br />Staff Name and title, business phone number and pager <br />number, business days and hours of work; <br />.. Section 3 Code Enforcement Action by District — August 1, 1997 through <br />1 July 30, 1998 <br />1 <br />
