ADJOURNED REGULAR COUNCIL MEETING <br />JULY 14,1998 <br />In accordance with notice duly and legally given, an Adjourned Regular Meeting of the City Council <br />of the City of Colton was held on the above given date at 6:43 p.m., in the Council Chambers of City <br />Hall, Mayor Pro Tempore Cook presiding. <br />ROLL CALL: <br />Councilmembers present were Grimsby, Chastain, Hutton, Sanders; and Mayor Pro Tempore Cook. <br />Also present were City Manager Garcia and City Clerk Barrera. Absent was Mayor Gaytan and <br />Councilmember Bennett. <br />STAFF REPORTS: <br />CITY MANAGER'S REPORTS AND RECOMMENDATIONS: <br />City Council Commission Orientation <br />City Manager Henry Garcia welcomed the commissioner and board members and gave an overview <br />of the goals and objectives of the orientation. Each Commissioner introduced themselves stating the <br />commission and district they represented, length of service and their participation in the community. <br />Commissions represented were from the Library Board of Trustees, Code Enforcement & Housing <br />Advisory Appeals Board, Recreation and Parks Commission, Civil Service <br />Commission Utilities.Board, Cemetery <br />Commission, Home Rent Review Commission, Community Facilities <br />Districtsties <br />tY <br />Commission and the Historic Preservation Commission. City Manager Garcia intro <br />the f g introduced <br />following staff members: Police Chief f Cro <br />we, Economic Development Director Steel and <br />Finance Director Vega. <br />City Manager Garcia informed the audience that members from the Planning <br />present, ��g Commission were not <br />nt as i <br />p t was their regular meeting date, but would <br />attempt to participate if the business of their <br />agenda concluded in timely manner.
