Annexation is favored by the majority of the property owners in <br />2. Rancho Avenue will be under the jurisdiction of the City at this <br />location,, giving the City the right to provide safety conditions. <br />3. Area can best be served by Municipal facilities offered by the <br />City of Colton. <br />WHEREAS. the City Council did on the 6th day of September adopt a <br />Resolution proposing the annexation of the aforesaid uninhabited territory <br />generally known as "West Colton Annexation No. 1411 to the City of Colton, and <br />WHEREAS, said Resolution did fix, determine and declare that a <br />hearing would be held on the 1st day of November 1960 at the hour of 7:30 p.m. <br />in the Council Chambers in the City Hall of the City of Colton (which is located <br />on "I" Street, between 8th and 9th Streets in said City) and the same was the <br />day, hour and place designated where any person within such territory so pro- <br />posed to be annexed and having any objections to the proposed annexation might <br />object befo"re the City Council and show cause why- such territory should not be <br />annexed to the City of Colton, and <br />WHEREAS, it was provided in said Resolution that said Resolution <br />should be published in the Colton Courier, a newspaper of general circulation <br />published within the City of Colton and the San Bernardino Daily Sun, a news- <br />paper of general circulation published outside the City of Colton, within the <br />County of San Bernardino, and that said Resolution was so published as mentione <br />
