J I BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLTON, AS FOLLOWS: 37 SII Section 1 - DEFINITIONS !; s g II Whenever in this ordinance the words or phrases herein- 10Iafter in this section defined are used, they shall have the � E 111 respective meanings assigned to them in the following definitions: i 12 (a) "Commission" shall mean the Public Utilities Com - 13 mission of the State of California. 1.41 f (b) "Underground Utility District" or "District shall mean that area in the City within which poles, overhead wires, I 16 ; _1 '7 I and associated overhead structures are prohibited as such area i 18 �I is described in a resolution adopted pursuant to the provisions 1-9 !I � Iof Section 3 of this ordinance. i 20 (c) "Person" shall mean and include individuals, firms, , 21 j cor orations� partnerships, , and their agents and employees. p 22 !I (d) "Poles, overhead wires and associated overhead 231 j structures shall mean poles, towers, supports, wires, conductors, 24 i; guys, u stubs platforms, crossarms, braces, transformers, insul- 25 g y I 26 ators, cutouts, switches, communication circuits, appliances, i 27i attachments and appurtenances located above -ground within a I I 28 District and used or useful in supplying electric, communication 29 i or similar or associated service. 30 1 !'
