THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLTONp COUNTY <br />4'; OF SAN BERNARDINO... STATE OF CALIFORNIAr DOES <br />ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: <br />5' <br />I� SECTION I: TITLE <br />6I <br />a. This ordinance shall be known as the "Airport <br />7 <br />811 Approaches Zoning Ordinance". It is adopted pursuant to the <br />91 Airport Approaches Zoning Law 50485-50485.14 of the Government <br />10 Code and shall be construed in support of the purposes and pro- <br />11 visions thereof, and proceedings for additions or amendments <br />121 <br />to this ordinance shall conform thereto. This ordinance shall <br />13 <br />only apply to airports owned, leased or operated by a govern - <br />14 <br />15 1� mental agency or airport district. <br />lei SECTION II: DEFINITIONS <br />17 a. As used in this ordinance, unless the context <br />181 otherwise requires, the following words and phrases have the <br />19 <br />meaning herein set forth: <br />20 <br />it "Airport" including "Heliport", means any area of <br />21 <br />eland or water designed and set aside for the landing and taking <br />22 �i <br />231off of aircraft and utilized or to be utilized in the interest <br />24 �Of the public for such ,purposes, having a valid airport permit <br />25 from the State of California Aeronautics Division, and airspace <br />26 1clearance as required by the Federal Aviation Agency. <br />2711 "Airport hazard" means any structure or tree or use <br />28 <br />of land which obstructs the airspace required for the flight <br />29 i <br />of aircraft in landing or taking off at an airport or is other - <br />30 <br />31 <br />Ilwise hazardous to such landing or taking off of aircraft. <br />32 <br />i <br />i <br />
